{"id":1982,"date":"2004-08-06T10:14:45","date_gmt":"2004-08-06T10:14:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/fubsy.net\/blog2\/?p=1982"},"modified":"2004-08-06T10:14:45","modified_gmt":"2004-08-06T10:14:45","slug":"three_hours_to","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/fubsy.net\/blog\/three_hours_to\/","title":{"rendered":"three hours to postville"},"content":{"rendered":"<div align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.fubsy.net\/images\/digicam\/minnesota\/madison.jpg\" class=\"photo\" alt=\"madison.jpg\" title=\"jod chromey's beautiful cat, madison, a corner of her sexxy red chair, and just a snippet of her millions of books.\" \/><\/div>\n<p>it&#8217;s friday and i&#8217;m really sleepy and sore today. i went downtown with karen last night to see <i>harry potter and the prisoner of azkaban<\/i> before it stops playing in theatres.  i took the <a href=\"http:\/\/fubsy.net\/images\/digicam\/walk.php?photo=13\">seabus<\/a> over and then we wandered around looking at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.orcasinthecity.com\/index.cfm?fuseaction=vancouver.description\">orcas<\/a> and then walked over to denman street where we looked for sushi to eat.  mm, sushi.<br \/>\nthe denman cinema actually has double features, but i was way too tired to stay for another movie and if i had, i probably would have ended up missing the last bus back which would have pissed me off, so we left early.  actually, it was good because i met pat, one of my old teaching assistants, on the seabus and we chatted all the way across.<br \/>\nthe only negative of the whole outing was my wearing the absolute wrong shoes for extended walking and my feet are pretty sore this morning.  ah, i&#8217;m tough, and god knows i need to walk more.  i should go wander around downtown with fun people more often!<\/p>\n<div align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.fubsy.net\/images\/digicam\/minnesota\/free_palestine.jpg\" class=\"photo\" alt=\"free_palestine.jpg\" title=\"while driving around st. paul's ritziest neighbourhood (grand ave) we saw this group of white urbanites protesting in the middle of the afternoon. yeah, like people in that neighbourhood care about palestine.\" \/><\/div>\n<p>tomorrow, i&#8217;m going back to ikea with meghan and rosemary (meg&#8217;s friend from school whom we&#8217;ve hung out with before, but not often because she lives far away and mark doesn&#8217;t much like her husband jason).  i love ikea.   i spent way too much time the other night going through their website and picking about my <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ikea.ca\/webapp\/wcs\/stores\/servlet\/ProductDisplay?storeId=3&#038;langId=-15&#038;catalogId=10101&#038;productId=25928\">dream<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ikea.ca\/webapp\/wcs\/stores\/servlet\/ProductDisplay?storeId=3&#038;langId=-15&#038;catalogId=10101&#038;productId=10911\">bedroom<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ikea.ca\/webapp\/wcs\/stores\/servlet\/ProductDisplay?storeId=3&#038;langId=-15&#038;catalogId=10101&#038;productId=11168\">suite<\/a> (all in the antique stain because white furniture is icky).  i was kind of tempted to buy at least one of the pieces now (and still am because i <i>really<\/i> need a bigger dresser), but i refuse to buy a nice frame for my current hand-me-down bed because i hope to replace it with a queen size in the not-so-distant future.<br \/>\nthen, on sunday, i&#8217;m going to yet another movie with karen. this time it will be <i>the village<\/i>.  if you&#8217;ve seen it, don&#8217;t you dare tell me anything!
