I can’t believe you still haven’t bought a camera! We bought a back up $10 (yes, *ten* dollar) one at Walmart for thd diaper bag when Rowan was pretty small, and it actually takes decent photos – go figure! Once you’ve taken two rolls of film, you’re even with the price you’d pay for two disposables, and from there, it’s savings city, baby.
Or you could get a fancier APS camera – they’re more expensive (and the film is, and the processing is), BUT they’re easy as can be and pretty versatile.
Of course, there’s the whole digital thing, but I don’t know jack about them, so…
I really want a Cannon Rebel, maybe someday I’ll actually be able to afford it. It’s a cool combo SLR/automatic camera, you can switch back and forth between modes. I really want an SLR camera for some uses, but in general, a point and shoot is what I need, so that would be the best of both worlds. :) Hey, if I ever get it, I’ll give ya my little Minolta point and shoot! ;)
basically, i need three cameras. i need a cheap point’n’shoot for those point’n’shoot occasions, a good slr so i can get back into photography after a ten year hiatus, and a really good digital camera — because i’m just too impatient for film processing.
what i *really* need someone to invent is a hybrid film/digital slr. i’d be their first customer.
you should have a camera.

Oh, yeah, that was a long way of saying “you should have a camera!” ;)
