being one to disdain and openly mock excessive collections of post-it® notes attached to monitors in the workplace, i find myself disturbed by the sudden proliferation of the little yellow devils which has sprouted from my own display. i’m just very glad i am not in possession of a camera so i cannot take a photograph of my shame to share with you, my beloved readers. it is tragic enough that i must express to you in words my descent into sticky hell. but, share i do, in hopes of somehow preventing another such tragedy from occuring in your life.
please, for god’s sake, don’t succumb to the post-it® lure… save yourselves!
I’ll remember not to now, for sure…I posted a post-it note to my puter.
Hah… you’re about 14 years too late for me, honey.
I invented post-it notes.
romy!! =)
I’ve got ten of them. but mine are blue, and purple, and turquoise, not yellow.
i’ve worked out a compromise – electronic post-it notes. they cover all 6 of my desktops, and they’re assorted ugly neon colors, just like the real ones.
and yes i have 6 desktops on one computer (why do you think i need so many post-its?). you can call me names if you want, but then i will have to portscan you.
mmm… virtual desktops.
i miss linux.
you can get virtual desktops for windows… hmm. forgotten how tho.
i have 3 at work, i tend to get lost with more than that. i’m not really a multitasking OS.
Not only do I have millions of sticky notes all over my desk, I also use the actual sticky program on my mac, so I have virtual stickies too! Ha!
virtual desktops in windows? that would scare me. :)
i find that having an area for each different “mode” i need to work in helps me to focus on whatever my current task is. now, because i know you’re just dying to know:
1. bunch of transparent aterm’s, xmms, licq, kaim
2. mozilla
3. mozilla mail client
4. coding area (today, a bunch of IDLE windows & an aterm)
5. xchat
6. misc. insanity (today, xfrisk)
what about y’all?
