i just spent an hour on the phone with greg, my “telus customer service representative”. a chatty, personable fellow who got me to sign up for adsl service by tempting me with free things. he’s also going to send me his “contact information” to my new email account and he wants me to “reply” when i get everything set up in a week’s time. this time i’m certain i was being hit on.
yeah. what’s with me and men from alberta?

7 Thoughts on “no chinook for you

  1. ooh la la, work your sexxxy phone voice!

  2. yay high speed internet!

  3. this is why i love andrea– she’s more excited about high speed internet than possibled hitted-on-ness.

  4. *sigh*
well, to tell you the truth, there’ve been lots of times when salespeople/telemarketers/whoever have seemed to hit on me and i’m pretty sure it’s just because they figure it’ll help convince me to buy whatever they’re selling. so i don’t put much stock in it because i don’t like to be manipulated like that. but i am notoriously paranoid and untrusting (otherwise known as “coldhearted bitch”), so maybe they’ve been hitting on me all along. damn! i can’t believe i missed out on my chance with that cute big-blue-eyed honda dealership guy who said i could come in for a car wash anytime i wanted!
… yeah, in any case, yay for high speed internet!

oh, i know guys hit on me on the phone all the time or they did when i talked to suppliers and colleagues and customers in my last job. i had one guy actually making plans for our “first night together” when he was going to be coming into town.
i can’t help it if i give good phone. *shrug*

I’ve hit on the phone help before. I’m pretty obvious with stuff like “You know, you’ve got a *great* voice,” or “Wow, I’m impressed! I’ll buy you dinner if you’re ever in southern California.”
Of course I never follow through because I’m a chicken.

  7. i hit on girls on the phone at every opportunity. it seems harmless, and i sure could use the practice anyway. I’ve never been in a follow-through situation though, but it’s a laugh.
