– i’m not hobbling nearly so badly *crosses fingers*
– think i’ve caught the plague i’d deftly avoided so far
– visited with friendly neighbour cat this morning in the snow
– really have to get a fuzzy rug for the livingroom
– spending far too much time looking at yummy knitting patterns
Hi, Heather! W/r/t a fuzzy rug… not sure if you already have something in mind, but something I was just made aware of last year is Flor flooring tiles. They have some amazing patterns, samples are cheap, they are washable, replaceable, recyclable, “green”… and usually, your sample purchase can get you a credit towards a purchase… and they even allow you to send installation pics to their website in return for more purchase credit. Best of all, though, is you can usually get the same square-footage from Flor-ing as you can in a traditional rug, but for far far cheaper.
No, I don’t work for Flor, but I do think it’s a neat idea. Their recent catelog shows an installation using some tiles which are actually cut after purchase, so instead of a straight-up grid pattern, it was 19” sqaures interlaid with 1/8-cut tiles… you can get pretty creative.
And they DO make some patterns that are “shag”-gy/fuzzy.
