  1. Ruh roh!

  2. I feel for you!
1 – You need a better cane! Mine is pink!
2 – You are so not alone. I even have an official handicap placard now and am officially disabled until February, 2012 (which is a permanent permit, they just make you reapply every 3 years). UGH
3 – Uh, what’s the deal with the knee? Is it hurting more or unstable or both? Do you have a brace? Mine mostly doesn’t hurt but I can’t walk at all without my super bionic brace…
    I hope yours is OK
    TAKE CARE of yourself :)

my cane is so ghetto! i almost love its DTES appeal. but, i’m still totally embarrassed to used it outside the apartment.
the deets: the evening of getting away, i was crawling into bed when the knee, it went kaplooie. kaplooie! it’s as bad as its ever been, really unstable and painful. there’s improvement, but not much.
i hoped that if i called the surgeon who bumped me to april would maybe get me in sooner, but the best i can hope for is a cancellation to get me in before then.
    until… i hobble.
oh, no brace. i was under the impression it was the surgeon who would help me get one of those if needed.

Oh, yikes, somehow the placard makes it so permanent sounding! Here’s to April coming quickly!
